Greatest Hits is a 1970 greatest hits LP for the soul/rock/funk band
Sly & the Family Stone. It includes singles and album tracks from the
Dance to the Music, Life, and Stand! LPs. Three non-album singles
from 1969, "Hot Fun In The Summertime", "Everybody Is A Star", and
"Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)", are also included.
Although this album was simultaneously released in quadraphonic
format, the three non-album singles were not mixed into regular
stereo, and are presented here in their monaural 45 RPM mixes. Stereo
mixes of these three songs were finally done when the Sly & the
Family Stone catalog was digitally remastered in the 1990s.
