Blonde on Blonde
Bob Dylan
CDs and Music - Just The Good Stuff
Blonde on Blonde by Bob Dylan ranked # 9 on Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums list.
Blonde on Blonde is believed to be Rock's first double album. Recorded in Nashville, it was produced by Bob Johnston and was released in 1966.
The album was a critical and commercial success, though folk music purists continued to protest Dylan's fusion of folk with rock that began with Highway 61 Revisited and Bringing It All Back Home.
Blonde on Blonde peaked at #9 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart in the US, eventually going double-platinum, while it reached #3 in the UK.
